Auroop R. Ganguly directs the Sustainability & Data Sciences Laboratory (SDS Lab) at Northeastern University, where his research encompasses weather extremes, water sustainability and marine or urban ecology under climate change as well as the resilience of critical infrastructures and lifelines under natural or man-made hazards. He has developed and adapted computational solutions, especially in so-called "Big Data", to solve problems in sustainability, security and business.
He had visited GCP-JU on 11th June, 2015 with a group of his students working at Northwestern University, USA. An interactive session with their group on the same day was organised at Committee Room 1 (Aurobinda Bhaban), Jadavpur University during 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM.
This visit was a part of their trip to India which lasted from May 23rd to June 26th of 2015 for 2015 "Climate-India Dialogue" programme of Northwestern University, USA.
