  • 2013, January 8 - 9, GCP – JU organized an inception workshop on ‘Coastal Ecosystem and Changing Economic Activities: Challenges for Sustainability Transition along Chinese and South Asian Coasts’ with financial support from Asia Pacific Network (APN)
  • 2013, January 10 - 11, GCP – JU participated in the kick –off conference under ‘Indo – European Multilevel Climate Governance Research Network’ held at New Delhi with financial support from the same.
  • 2013, February 11 – 14, GCP – JU organized sector - specific consultative workshops to find out the best energy – efficient measures for each sector namely industry, transport, waste management, building, energy and water under the Project ‘The Economics of a Low Carbon Kolkata (Mini-stern)’ undertaken as a part of ‘Ten Climate Smart City Programme’ with financial assistance from Centre for Low Carbon Futures, University of Leeds; University of York and Stockholm Environment Institute.

  • 2013, October 24-25, GCP-JU organized a workshop on “Climate Change statistics” was arranged by Global change Programme Jadavpur University in collaboration with Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implimentation (MOSPI), CSO Social statistics division, New Delhi, at anita Banerjee Memorial Hall, UG Arts Building, JU.
  • 2013, November 11th -15th, GCP-JU organized an international workshop named “International workshop on sustainability impact of experiments Kolkata” collaboration with WOTRO-NOW at Peerless Inn, Kolkata.
  • 2013, November 19th , 2013, GCP-JU organized final launch of the report “The Economics of a Low Carbon Kolkata” at The Park Hotel, Kolkata. The project was collaboration between Global Change Programme-Jadavpur University and the University of Leeds, with support from the Centre for Low Carbon Futures and the British Deputy High Commission, Kolkata.
  • 2013, November 20th-22nd, GCP-JU organized an international workshop on “Conceptualizing Multilevel Governance in Transition Process Towards Low Carbon Growth” in collaboration with Freie Universität Berlin, VU University Amsterdam, Pondicherry University Pondicherry and TERI University New Delhi at Pride Hotel, Kolkata.

  • 2012, January 11, as a part of the dissemination programme of GCP-JU, it had supported a UGC-sponsored seminar on “Access to Safe Water: Socio-economic and Technological Challenges in Arsenic Affected Areas of Murshidabad” at Kandi Raj College, Murshidabad. Regarding the same, affiliation of GCP-JU was sought and GCP-JU provided affiliation through knowledge support and subject resource persons to the seminar.

2012, December 17, GCP - JU conducted a dissemination workshop at Dhapdhapi High School, Baruipur on ‘Electrochemical Arsenic Remediation (ECAR)’s Pilot Scale Field trial October 2012 to January 2013 with financial support from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), University of Berkeley, California.
