GLOBAL CHANGE PROGRAMME

Pragya Gupta completed her graduation in Economic (Honors) from Calcutta University and post graduation in Economics from University of Pune.She had worked as a Research Associate from June 2009 to February 2011 at Global Change Programme, Jadavpur University. She acted as a liaison for the project Electrochemical Arsenic Remediation (ECAR) undertaken by University of California, Berkeley with joint support from Jadavpur University.She also worked on the evaluation of water savings as a part of the study conducted by Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) to conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions. Currently she is pursuing her PhD at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (IIEST), India. The Thesis titled ‘Household Consumption and Climate Change: Relative Responsibilities of Developed and Developing countries’ will be completed by April 2015.
