Sayantan Sarkar was associated with GCP-JU during June 2012 – April 2013, first as a part-time postdoctoral researcher (June-November 2012) and then as a full-time postdoctoral research associate in the project ‘The Economics of a Low Carbon Kolkata’ (November 2012 – April 2013) funded by the Centre for Low Carbon Futures (CLCF), UK. His work included analysis of technologies incorporated in the transportation, industry and waste sectors to increase energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. He had worked as a Research Affiliate at Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health, USA during April 2013-February 2015. He will be joining the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, National University of Singapore as a postdoctoral fellow in May 2015.
