Shyamasree Dasgupta worked as a Post Doctoral research associate at Global Change Programme in the project “Commercializing a scalable low cost arsenic remediation technology with societal impact”. She carried out research under this project to understand the relevant social placement challenges of an arsenic remediation technology from the perspective of multiple stakeholders, assess purchasing interest and ability for water in the study area, and to collaborate with the field site community for technology trial. She has obtained her doctoral degree in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Currently she is working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in IIT, Mandi.
