GLOBAL CHANGE PROGRAMME

Surojit Bhandari did his graduation in Arts (B.A) in the year 2008 with “Journalism and Mass Communication” as one of the compulsory papers. He joined a project sponsored by Department of Environment, Government of West Bengal on “Assessment of Environmental Consequences for Sustainability of Waste Recycling in Present Urban Agricultural Practices” under the supervision of Dr. Anupam Debsarkar, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Jadavpur University, as project assistant in the year March, 2012 and worked there till April, 2013. On completion of this project, he started working as a field assistant in the prestigious “Electrochemical Arsenic Remediation (ECAR)” project for remediation of arsenic-contaminated groundwater both in the Environmental Engineering Laboratory of Department of Civil Engineering, Jadavpur University and at Dhopdhopi High School, South 24-Parganas. He has been working as an office assistant at Global Change Programme (GCP) of Jadavpur University since May, 2013.
